Practicing at the Bar of England and Wales from Chancery House Chambers in Leeds, Anthony Edwards specialises in Professional Negligence, Commercial & Construction Law in both contentious and non-contentious matters including disputes arising out of Land and Building & Civil Engineering activities both internationally and nationally with experience in Mediation, Adjudication, Arbitration and Litigation. Engaged in disputes between employers (public and private sector) and contractors; inter contractor disputes.

He has had a busy career in the construction industry as a Commercial Manager and Quantity surveyor with over twenty years of direct experience of managing projects on site in both building and civil engineering from procurement of both materials and subcontractors through to drafting final accounts and preparing claims.

Anthony has worked with all the standard forms of contracts, such as JCT, ICE, FIDIC, NEC on projects including, Hospitals, Water Treatment Plants, Railways, Power Stations, Petrol Chemical Refinery, Mechanical & Electrical Services and Bridges.

Anthony has made various Awards on a range of disputes and as the party's representative he has provided representation, advice, opinions, drafted contracts and undertaken contractual negotiations for clients including solicitors; consultants; employers and contractors, during Mediation; Adjudication; Arbitration and litigation proceedings in commercial and construction related disputes.

Nature of the disputes relate to; negligence actions against professional advisers including architects/engineers and surveyors; land and property related matters; contract interpretation, conflicting documentation, breach of contract, delay & disruption, time extensions, prolongation, payment provisions, acceleration, loss of productivity, final accounts and conflict of laws.

Anthony won the CIArbs' Cedric Barclay Prize for the Best International Award Writer in 2005 and is a member of:
